Custom ROMs for tablets

Tablets are where custom ROMs matter most. A tablet is kept far longer than a phone and abandoned by its vendor far sooner — a Galaxy Tab or Xiaomi Pad still perfectly good for reading and video is often years past its last security patch. These are the tablets a ROM project still builds for.

How this list is built

Tablets aren't a category Android itself records, so this page identifies them from the model name (Tab, Pad, MatePad, Nexus 7…) and, where we know it, a screen 7 inches or larger. Newest hardware leads. If a tablet you own is missing, tell us — a naming rule will never catch everything.

Flashing a tablet is no different from a phone: read back up before flashing and the drivers you'll need first. Don't know your model? Find your codename.

CustomDroid indexes ROM builds, it doesn't host them. Always download from the official project.
