LineageOS vs /e/OS
/e/OS is actually built on LineageOS, so they share a lot of DNA. The difference is Google: LineageOS is near-stock Android where you decide whether to add Google apps, while /e/OS rips Google out entirely and replaces it with MicroG for a deGoogled phone out of the box.

The most widely-ported custom ROM, prized for stability and a clean, close-to-stock Android. It ships without Google by default, but unlike /e/OS it leaves the choice to you — flash a Google apps package if you want full Play services, or stay vanilla. Pick it if you want a dependable daily driver and flexibility over how much Google you keep.
/e/OS
A deGoogled distribution built on LineageOS, with MicroG, its own app store and an optional cloud, all set up for you. It trades a little of Lineage's neutrality for a private experience that works on day one. Pick it if “no Google, no setup” is the goal and you don't want to assemble that yourself.
