Phones that run Android 9
Devices with a custom ROM offering Android 9, newest hardware first. A custom ROM is how a phone keeps getting new Android versions after the manufacturer moves on — so this is a shortlist of phones that'll stay current. Filter by brand or active maintenance to narrow it down.
Android 9 isn't the newest release: Android 17 came out 16 Jun 2026, and custom ROMs catch up device by device.
